District 208 “Of the Year” Awards

The District 208 Of the Year Awards recognize individuals whose dedication, leadership, enthusiasm, and service have made an outstanding contribution to their clubs and to District 208 throughout the Toastmasters year, from July 1 to June 30.

The awards recognize excellence in the following categories: Rookie of the Year, Public Relations of the Year, Toastmaster of the Year, and Club President of the Year.

These awards are an opportunity to celebrate members and leaders who go beyond the expectations of their roles. Strong nominations should demonstrate how the nominee has contributed to the success of their club, Area, Division, or District and how their leadership has positively influenced the Toastmasters experience of others.

When preparing a nomination, include specific examples, dates, achievements, initiatives, and results that demonstrate the nominee’s contribution. Highlight actions that were particularly innovative, creative, supportive, or impactful, and describe the leadership qualities they brought to their role.

Personal testimonials from fellow Toastmasters are especially valuable. They help tell the nominee’s story and provide the selection committee with a clearer picture of how the individual has encouraged others, strengthened the learning environment, supported members, and contributed to club and District success.

Take the opportunity to recognize someone who has made a difference. Nominate an outstanding District 208 Toastmaster and help us celebrate the people who make our District stronger.
