Division and Area Director Leadership Training

On behalf of District Director Cheryl Persson, I am pleased to announce our new monthly Division and Area Director Leadership Development Sessions.

These sessions will be held on the last Sunday of each month, with the exception of months when a District Executive Committee (DEC) meeting is scheduled. Attendance is an expectation of your leadership role, as these sessions are designed to provide the knowledge, practical skills, and resources you need to successfully support your clubs throughout the Toastmasters year.

These meetings will be different from our traditional leaders’ calls. While we will continue to share important district administrative updates, reports, and leadership information, the primary focus will be on practical leadership development.

Each 90-minute session will include:

• 2 – 30 minutes sessions – Practical leadership training focused on strategies and tools you can immediately apply in your role.
• 30 minutes – District updates, upcoming activities, resources, questions, and discussion on topics that will help you succeed throughout the year.

These sessions are designed to provide valuable leadership development opportunities while creating a forum where Division and Area Directors can learn from one another, share ideas, discuss challenges, and celebrate successes.

Our first Leadership Development Session will be held on:

Sunday, July 26
7:00–8:30 p.m. MDT

This will be a virtual meeting. The meeting link and any supporting materials will be emailed to you closer to the session date.

Please mark these sessions on your calendar and make every effort to attend. They are an important investment in your leadership journey and in the success of District 208.
